The Maldron is well situated in Cork, in walking distance of everything. It was our first time staying there, as we usually book a different hotel in that neighborhood. We reserved an executive king room for our three night stay. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It's a nice setup for a business stay with a desk and table/chairs. The room was quiet and nice view on the city, but there was an odd musty smell in the hallway and in the room, as if there had been water damage? With the window open, it was OK. The bathroom was spacious and modern with good water pressure in the shower. We took the breakfast two of the three days. It was a very decent buffet with good coffee and the manager of the breakfast room was efficient and polite, going out of his way to make sure everyone was looked after. Overall we had a nice stay and I would book the Maldron South Mall again when traveling for business.

Liked the location and the whole appearance of the hotel. Staff were all very helpful and accommodating. Clean tidy rooms. We had breakfast in the lobby and it was delicious. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. The hotel was very welcoming. The downside to mine and my friends room was cigarette ends outside the window. And a stain on the shower floor. As we only stayed 1 night and had a very busy schedule it was only mentioned when checking out. I had taken pics and showed to the staff who said did we tell anybody on check in. We did not as arrived early left luggage went to Blarney Castle. Then after check in was going for a meal and to The Opera House to see a show. So very busy. The cigarette ends were noticed next morning. The shower was not seen without glasses on We all said we would love to stay again for longer and would look at this hotel first but report anything amiss at once.

I didnt have breakfast as I was going to a wedding in another hotel. I would highly suggest adding the breakfast in to the price of the room, as the next day I missed on a breakfast because I forgot to book it, I would have preferred to no think , walk in and just eat, yes you could argue its more money if you miss it, but the fact I had to remember to book it would be worth the 17e!

The hotel was much nicer than I was expecting, and our room was lovely and spacious! The location was absolutely perfect for us, close to Oliver Plunkett street and so many excellent pubs. All the staff members we spoke to were really friendly and check and checkout was super speedy. Couldn't have asked for more for our stay, would definitely recommend for others visiting Cork!

Good location for visiting the city and our family. Room was good size and comfortable. Very clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were very helpful. Easy to push my mum around in her wheelchair and although there were stairs up to the reception, there was a lift. Kids club available in the evenings in July & August for free.
